Are you ready to start your new dog grooming career?
I started grooming at the age of 17 after my mum and I had a discussion about working together. Previously I had already completed a grooming course as part of an animal care course at a local college and I was working as a vet nurse assistant at Kingsteignton Vet Group. We decided to enrol on a dog grooming course and we loved every minute. My mum, Gill and I then started Fido Sassoon Canine Beauticians. We started grooming out of our garage but soon found we needed more room. We opened up the front of the garage into a shop front and business boomed even more. Some of our graduates
“Kelly's knowledge on dog grooming is second to none and her true empathy and handling of dogs is nothing short of outstanding. She taught with passion and real dedication, whilst her teaching manner not only put me at ease but also she instilled the "want" to gain as much knowledge as possible to enhance my own professional development as a dog groomer. It is a real skill to not only have her level of knowledge and gift as a groomer but the passion she instills into her students is a true gift. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to train as a Dog Groomer. She truly is an amazing lady.” - Sharon
As I suffer from social anxiety disorder, I tend to go in on myself and get easily confused, I was getting so frustrated with myself as I couldn’t understand where I was going wrong. Kelly was able to keep me calm and explain techniques in a way that was easy for me to understand, show me where I was going wrong and how to improve, making our time together a very positive experience. I can’t recommend her enough and am super excited for the future of my grooming business. I really feel I can go to Kelly with any questions I have or when I’m in need of advice. Really looking for forward to attending your seminars and doing some more top up training in the future“
"I would recommend Kelly to anyone. She is patient, able to explain things in ways that made sense to me and is always positive and encouraging, which creates a really great atmosphere"
“I have just completed my dog grooming course with Kelly and cannot recommend the academy enough. Kelly is a calm, caring and supportive tutor. Her knowledge and skills are amazing. She has managed to teach me so much and gives constructive criticism and always makes me feel confident that with practice I can reach my goals. Thank you so much Kelly, I cannot wait to see what my future holds.” - Kelly E
“Its refreshing to be taught by someone who genuinely has the dogs welfare at heart. Kelly is unique in her style of teaching. Patient and friendly, I can approach her and ask any questions however small or silly and she is always happy to help and makes time to explain something clearly.” - Christina
